Gollapalli reservoir penukonda sangopang Gollapalli reservoir is situated in the Erramanchi area of Penukonda block of Anantapur district in Andhra Pradesh state. State Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in the first week of December 2016, has released Krishna water into Gollapalli reservoir.
This Gollapalli reservoir is part of the Handri Neeva Sujala Sravanthi Scheme of water canals and has capacity of 1.6 thousand million cubic feet of water.
The water in this reservoir comes mostly from the Krishna river and used for agriculture, drinking purpose. It’s also hope that it will recharge the water table in the area. Besides this reservoir is main source of water for the nearby Kia motors Plant.
